Belmont's Curse Launch Hub: Release Date, Platforms, and Demo Recap
Everything confirmed about the Castlevania: Belmont's Curse launch: the October 15, 2026 release date, all four platforms, the demo window, and what is unknown.
This page is the single source for every confirmed launch fact about Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse — dates, platforms, the demo, and editions — each one checked against official sources and last verified on 2026-10-12. It updates on launch day and again after the day-one patch; anything we cannot verify is labeled as unknown rather than guessed.
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse — official announcement trailer
When does Belmont’s Curse release?
October 15, 2026 is the worldwide release date across all four platforms. Some storefronts (including Steam regional listings) show October 14 — that is time-zone roll-over, not a separate date. The timing makes it part of the Castlevania series’ 40th anniversary celebrations, and it is the first all-new 2D Castlevania in a decade.

Which platforms is Belmont’s Curse on?
Four platforms at launch:
- PC — Steam
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- Nintendo Switch
Pricing, editions, and pre-order bonuses have been announced through official channels but we are still verifying the regional details before listing them here — this page will carry the confirmed table on launch day. There has been no announcement regarding last-generation consoles (PS4, Xbox One) or a Switch 2-specific version.
What happened in the October demo?
The free demo ran October 1–8, 2026 on all four platforms and covered the game’s opening: the ruined streets of 1499 Paris up to the first boss, The Fallen. Three things mattered about it:
- Save progress carries into the full game — demo players effectively pre-cleared the opening arc.
- It hid a secret weapon — the Cestus gauntlets in the Paris sewers — which community guides found within days.
- It even hid a fighting-game easter egg, which press coverage flagged as a nod to Konami’s back catalog.
If you missed the demo window, it has ended; there has been no announcement of it returning.
What is still unknown before launch?
We are deliberately leaving these blank rather than filling them with guesses:
- Full boss roster — confirmed so far: The Fallen, Joan of Arc, Medusa, Carmilla, and Death. The complete list waits for launch.
- Arcana card names and effects — the system is confirmed, the full card list is not.
- Weapon count beyond the seven families — the families and tiers are known; exact per-family weapon lists are not.
- Playtime, difficulty modes, and post-launch plans — nothing official yet.
Where can you follow official updates?
The official Konami page for the game is at konami.com/castlevania/belmonts_curse, and the Steam store page carries the pre-purchase listing. For guides rather than news, our getting-started guide and the boss list are the two pages to bookmark for launch night.
