All bosses confirmed for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse so far — The Fallen, Joan of Arc, Medusa, Carmilla, and Death — plus how each one seals into an Arcana card.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse keeps its boss roster close to the chest, but official previews and the October demo have confirmed five bosses before the October 15 launch. This page tracks every confirmed boss, what we know about each fight, and the Arcana card each one seals into — verified 2026-10-12, and re-checked on launch day.

Which bosses are confirmed for Belmont’s Curse?

Boss Status What we know Arcana
The Fallen First boss (demo final wall) Ends the demo’s opening arc in Medieval Paris — see the fight guide Seals into a card — name not yet shown
Joan of Arc Confirmed via press previews A fiery, corrupted version of the French legend who wields a powerful sword Grants a Greatsword on defeat
Medusa Confirmed by press previews A classic series rival; highlighted as a standout fight Seals into a card — details at launch
Carmilla Confirmed by press previews Returning series villain Seals into a card — details at launch
Death Confirmed by press previews The series’ eternal final obstacle Seals into a card — details at launch

That is the confirmed list — not the complete one. Previews describe a full Metroidvania map of 1499 Paris, and a map that size holds more than five bosses. We will expand this table as launch confirms more.

Who is The Fallen?

The Fallen is the game’s first boss and the final wall of the October demo, fought at the end of the opening Medieval Paris arc. It is the fight every player has finished — which makes it the best-documented encounter in the game. Our dedicated The Fallen guide breaks down what the demo taught about it.

Why is Joan of Arc a boss?

Belmont’s Curse builds its new bosses out of French legend, and Joan of Arc is the flagship example: a corrupted, fiery version of the historical figure who wields a powerful sword. Press previews from the July 2026 preview wave flagged her fight as a highlight, and she anchors the game’s mid-game — defeating her is how you earn the Greatsword, one of the seven weapon families.

Which returning Castlevania bosses appear?

Three series legends are confirmed: Medusa, Carmilla, and Death. That pairing matters for the game’s structure — Belmont’s Curse is a direct sequel in spirit set 23 years after the previous Castlevania story, and these three are the connective tissue to the wider series. Death’s presence in particular signals a traditional endgame, though his exact role is unconfirmed.

How do bosses become Arcana cards?

The rule is simple: defeat a boss, and it is sealed into one of Rose’s tarot cards as an Arcana. Equip the card to borrow that boss’s powers — spells, unique special actions, and build-defining effects. This is the game’s signature system and its progression spine: each boss is simultaneously a wall, a key, and a new tool.

What we do not know yet is the per-card detail — how many cards you can equip at once, whether cards level up, and the full effect list. Those answers land with launch, and our Arcana guide will carry the complete breakdown.
